The 2014-2015 course opening ceremony at HCMUARC

October 11th, HCMUARC gracefully organized the opening ceremony (period 2014-2015)

Joining the ceremony were Distinguished guests: Dr. Nguyen Dinh Toan – Deputy Minister (DM) of Construction; Mr. Khuong Van Muoi – Vice Chairman of Vietnam Architects’ Association; Dr. Le Van Thuong – Director of Southern Institute for Spatial Planning and leaders of both domestic & foreign institutions, and distinguished sponsors.

Addressing the ceremony, DT. Ass Prof. Arch. Pham Tu – Rector briefly summarized the university’s activities such as: training outcomes, student scientific research, and student enrolment under the project of training high-quality human resources training for the Southwestern areas.

In the academic year 2014-2015, HCMUARC conduct enrolments in 9 disciplines: Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Regional & Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Infrastructure, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, and Fashion Design. Besides, the University enrolled 46 (max. 50) students the Urban Planning renovating program, 26 (max.50) students for the Urban Design advanced program.

Rector Pham Tu, in his speech, welcomed all the new students and asked all students to do their best in schooling.

According to Assoc Prof. Pham Tu, newly-enrolled students were the most qualified. “Pride to be a part of Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture and your own desires will build a good foundation for your good performances” said the Rector.

DM Toan appreciated the achievements of the university in the period 2013-2014. He also spoke highly of the enrolment for students of regular mode under the project of  high-quality human resources training for the Southwestern areas and the construction of 2 branches in Dalat city and Cantho city.

Representating students of Course 2014 Phan Thanh Son – top graduate in Graphic Design shared his joy and pride when studying at the University; he also pledged to do his best in study.
